Ruby C. Hartwig

Ruby C. Hartwig, age 98, died November 6, 2007, in Scottsdale, Az. Ruby was born in Donie, Tx on October 14, 1909, to Joseph R. and Mary F. Cone. She married Gilbert H. Hartwig in 1933. He preceded her in death in 1970. She is survived by son Don Hartwig (Cynthia Chapin), Tempe, Az, daughter Gaye Autterson (Charles), Palm Desert, Ca, Granddaughter Melanie Sue Higgs (Tim) and grandchildren Matthew and Sara, Gilbert, Az. Ruby was a talented musician whose career began with playing the organ for silent movies. Later in life she was a church organist for many years. She was the entertainment director for Hacienda Los Arcos, forming the "Miss And Her Four Misfits", entertaining around the Valley. Visitation is on Monday, November 12, 2007 at Green Acres Chapel, 401 N. Hayden Road, starting at 1:30 pm, services at 2:30 pm. Following the service a reception will be held at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, 515 E. Continental Dr, Tempe. In lieu of flowers, donations to Villa Ocotillo Arbor Wing, 3327 N. Civic Center Plaza, Scottsdale 85251 are suggested.
