Dear Bobby, my most sincere condolences to you and your family for the very sad and untimely loss of Sam. There are no words that can take away the pain, but there is comfort in knowing that the love you shared will be with you forever. I believe that the people that we've loved and lost smile down on us and watch over us every day. My thoughts are with you and I'm sending you love and a big hug across the miles.

Dearest Jennifer,
We have just returned to Phoenix after a three week absence. Our daughter called us in Colorado to tell us the dreadful news. I'm so grateful to have found this means of communication in our email. Please know our deepest sympathy and love are with you and your family. These words seem very meager and we hope you can feel the support and comfort of many prayers. Love always..Suzanne and Stephen Jones and family.

Dear Jennifer & kids, Bobby, JJ, Liz, Suz and Caroline, It is an unconceivable loss for your family, and I am so very sorry for the pain in your hearts. May you be relieved, strengthened and consoled by the love of each other and of those around you. Greiving is a personal matter, there are no rules. Each of you will find your own sense of peace. Love, Marta
PS..JJ, loved the "bird wall-splatting" story..hilarious!

To my dear darling Bobby, my friend..as unbearable as it must be for you, may you find moments of peace and strength in the inspiring legacy that was so generously shared by family and friends at Sams life celebration memorial. How magnificantly he was described! Though greviously sad, I know you'll find the courage to face each day in your own way..a broken heart still beats.
I love you so much..Tah

I love you Sammy!
You were a bright, funny, and loving person to everyone. Never judgmental, always honest, & sarcastic in the way that we all wish we could be. The memory of you that you have left with us will keep you alive in our hearts always.
You will be greatly missed bud~
With Love, Erin Flannery

How did I not know you were "Sammy Kershaw" Garland?! No wonder this country girl loved you. Hmmm, guess you must've been a secret country music lover =) Well baby, I sure am missing you and am trying to embrace your "living the dream" attitude. Your life was truly a celebration. I LOVE YOU MAN!

Although I did not know Sam, I do know his father, always known to the Rogers family growing up (he and my sister Marta are good friends), as Bobby. I came to think of Bobby G. as my friend too, not just "my sisters friend". I can't even imagine the heartbreak the entire family must be going through right now and my heart goes out to all of you. I know your son, brother, husband, nephew, uncle and friend will be missed terribly.
Best wishes and prayers to all of you.

Dear family of Sam Garland,
My heart goes out to you in your time of great sadness.
Sam was a customer of mine for a software application that he used at his workplace. He was a very kind, intelligent and extremely funny man and I know he will be missed by many.
Best wishes to his wife and family.
Sincerely,

Back in the 90's, Sam and I made the BBS community in Phoenix a significantly more disturbing and entertaining place together. We used to play frisbee golf, jam, and have bb-gun fights across the pool. He was a hell of a kid.
I regret falling out of touch with him over the years, it looks like he grew up to be a hell of a man as well.
Peace out, Sam. You are missed.
