Carey, Stacy Allen
Stacy Allen Carey, 91, born and raised in Paris, Illinois passed away on February 29th, 2012. Survived by his daughter Cynthia, Allen rejoins his wife of 70 years, Sarah Ellen, and his daughter Carolyn. Allen's 7 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren will miss him dearly and think fondly of their time with "Papa." Allen's sons-in-law, Chuck and Jim, will remember his life lessons and his steadfast support throughout the years. Allen worked for General Telephone and Electric prior to serving in the US Navy during World War II. Allen served in China and the Pacific Theater as a master electrician. After the war, he continued his career with GTE, retiring after over 40 years. Allen was passionate about history and all things mechanical. First and foremost, he was a loving husband to Sarah and a caring father to Cynthia and Carolyn. In the spring, his extended family will meet in Paris, Illinois to celebrate his life and honor the memory of Allen and Sarah Carey. They will be missed by all that knew them.
