Stephen Peters

Stephen Peters born February 19th 1945- passed February 26th 2021, with his daughters at his side . He was a strong ,charismatic, kind funny ,loving and doting man. He went to Heaven Friday ,February 26th. He had abruptly lost his battle to cancer. He was born in Tucson ,Arizona and was raised in Escondido ,California . He grew up with his parents Grace and Melvin Peters. His brother Jimmy, his sisters Melana and Debbie Peters. He was married to his daughter's mother Nancy Perry for over 20 years . Steve was a devoted , loving father .He was very close to his two daughters ,Katie Peters and Scarlett Peters. His eldest sons, Brett Peters , and Donnie Telefsen. Steve is survived by his loved ones and six grandchildren. Kingston, Violet, and Chloe in Phoenix. Brittany, Corey and Keith in California. He was also a great-grandfather to River and Pablo, in California. He lived just down the street from his Grand-babies Kingston and Violet and spent time with them often. He was courageous and truly caring. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Steve owned a commercial contracting business for over 40 years. In his younger years , he was a race car driver .Steve was a hard working man and started his independence early in life . In his spare time he would spend time with family, go to Car Shows , and built his own hot rods from the ground up. He was featured in many magazines over the years for his collection of cars and artistic abilities creating them. Steve was a man of God and lived his life by his faith. Steve stood by his family and friends always .He left a mark on everyone he met. Steve genuinely enjoyed life and people, He was the light in every room. He was courageous, social and truly caring. He would make conversation and friends with anybody and everybody he encountered. Steve will be missed deeply. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." - Matthew 5:4

I wasn't sure why I hadn't met the big guy at various shows & meets over the past while. Got to be friends after buying some 35-36 parts. Good guy & welcomed me as a Canadian friend!

Sorry to hear this news as I always enjoyed talking to the big guy. Raced with Steve years ago at Manzy and frequently saw him in engine shops laughing and telling stories. GodSpeed Steve and condolences to the children,the guy really loved you all.
