Midland, TX - Stephen Glen Pitt, 50, of Midland, TX passed away on September 1, 2018. Services were held Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel.
Steve was born on July 14, 1968 in Omaha, NE to Norman Pitt and Kay Hestness Pitt. Steve was interested in aviation from a very early age and although he worked at various companies in several countries, he loved his job and his co-workers/friends at Concho Resources. More than anything Steve loved spending time with his daughter Sydney, whether fishing, traveling or just being together, she was the light of his life.
He is preceded in death by his father and is survived by his daughter Sydney Grace Pitt, mother Kay Pitt, sisters Julie (Alan) Aken, Laura (Stewart) Ingram and Valerie Thomsen, brother Jeffrey Pitt, former wife Tara Tischler and her children Jacqueline Maynard and Bradley Maynard and grandchildren Isaiah, Trillion and Gabriel, numerous aunts and uncles, five beautiful nieces and a great niece and nephew.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards the caring staff at Midland Memorial Hospital and Hospice of Midland.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Midland Children's Advocacy Center (mrccac.org) or Midland Animal Shelter Adoptables (midlandpets.org) in Steve's name.

So sorry to here the news. Steve was just eighteen when I worked with him at Sawyer Aviation. Then again after he left EJA and came back out west to Swift Aviation Group in Phoenix.
Steve was a wonderful friend and will be dearly missed.
My prayers go out to his family.
God speed my friend your work on earth has been well done.

Just found out so sorry for the loss. Worked with Steve in Phoenix for Swift Aviation. Was a hard worker and a good friend to many there. Will be missed.
