I traveled with all my sisters and my mom to bit farewell to our beloved brother Steve. His funeral and memorial were amazing testimonies to who he was, his commitment to helping cancer patients, and his loyalty to his country and to his fellow veterans. I was struck by the outpouring of support for Steve and for us. One could not help but be overcome with emotion upon seeing his fellow veterans and friends line up their motorcycles and greet us upon our arrival at the funeral home, followed by the procession to the national cemetary. To see the American flags flying in the wind guiding us to his resting place tore at our hearts. I will never forget the outpouring of support shown to my family as we struggled to accept our loss. It was and is incredibly comforting to realize Steve had another wonderful family of friends in Arizona. May God bless him. He is missed terribly.

Our family just got back from the 2 day event in Steve's honor in Phoenix. He was buried in the Phoenix federal cemetary. He had a wonderful procession from the mortuary to the cemetary from the motorcycle group he rode with and then the next day the VFW post he was a member of put on a wonderful tribute to him. Both groups definetly honored him and recognized him as one of their brothers.

Steve was and always will be a viable part of our family. We miss him terribly. He was such a friend to the VFW and returning war vets. His sisters.
