I knew Stewart in grade school, from 5th through 7th grade. I remember him as one of the "tough" boys, to my "prissy" girl. But he was the class clown and when he sat with me and Joey Aycock at lunch because we were some of the only ones who brought our lunch, he was such a nice, sweet guy. As I reconnected with my grade school friends through FB after leaving Phoenix, I always tried to get back to one of his epic October get togethers, but every year I was traveling on that day. I am going to make a concerted effort to get to Phoenix this Saturday to honor this old friend.

Kindergarten through high school with Stew - like many of his friends, I could fill a book with funny stories. He was a good soul who loved his family and friends. Stewart will be missed but not forgotten - he was one of a kind!

Stewart was a very caring person and what a sense of humor. He came out in a thunder & lightning storm to help me get out of the car with his sister Abbe, who was a baby in a infant carrier then. He was struck by lightning but kept running to get the baby out of the rain. When he was inside, he said "Dam_, I think I just got struck by lightning, is the baby ok, I need to sit down." You were always generous to me. God bless you, rest in peace.
