Sylvia James Obituary

James, Sylvia Lavon
Sylvia Lavon James, 89, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2009 in her home surrounded by her loving family. This most remarkable wife, mother and grandmother was born in Audubon, Iowa on September 29, 1919 to Oscar and Leona Boose. She married Dr. Paul James on October 23, 1943. They just recently celebrated 65 years of a most wonderful loving marriage and Dad will always cherish the love of his life! Sylvia will be greatly missed by her loving children, Paul (Rene) of Farmington, NM; Bill (Leslie) of Placentia, CA; Becky Payne (Mike) Flagstaff, AZ; and Carol Noelck (Dr. Alan) of Avondale, AZ. Her grandchildren are Trey Clark of Flagstaff, AZ., Dr. North Noelck (Dr. Michelle) of Portland, OR., Sterling Noelck (Casey) of Houston, TX., and Forrest Noelck of Avondale, AZ. She was preceded in death by her brother, Buddy Boose, and granddaughter Sara James. Sylvia spent the first 62 years of her life in Audubon and Spirit Lake, Iowa. Sylvia and Doc retired to live in Sun City West, AZ to enjoy the lives of their children and grandchildren. Mom will always be remembered for her quick sense of humor, her endless stories, her strong faith in God and her total happiness with life! Her true legacy was her undying love for her family and friends...her inspirations and dreams will live forever through her children and grandchildren. May the laughter she loved so much be in our hearts at this moment. Please join us in the "Celebration of Her Life" on Saturday, June 6th at 2:00p.m. at LaLoma Village, 14154 Denny Blvd., Litchfield Park, AZ 85340. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent in her name to the LaLoma Village Employee Appreciation Fund (address listed above) or to Hospice Inspiris, 2025 N. 3rd St., Suite 205, Phoenix, AZ 85004.
