Rommy and family. The Phoenix Union Class of 1957 will always have a smile when thinking of Tex. We looked forward to seeing the "Three Musketeer's" at the PUHS alumni picnic every year. It was so nice to see him at our monthly lunch. When we met today and heard the news of his passing, Ken Wheeler said a prayer for Tex and his family. We will miss him greatly. Rommy,

I didn't know your Tex - but I know you and love your family. May the peace of God's comfort continue to be with you. Bless you for all the love you showed to Tex and the love you continue to show your family.

Wish I could be with you. (the teenager's cohort in crime)

Dear Uncle Tex~

On the day of Aunt Happy's funeral, as we stood arm-in-arm at your parents' gravesites, I told you how much I loved my grandpa, and was so sad that he was only in my life until I was 9 years of age. Then you shared with me, dear uncle, that your father was your best friend, and how much you missed him. What a great thing to say about your dad!!! It brought tears to my eyes, as I could tangibly feel the love you had for your dad. I'm pretty sure that grandpa was there to greet you as you crossed over into the Heavenly Kingdom.....and I know you will make a wonderful place for your own family as their times come to pass. In the meantime, I hope that your family continues your love.....I will miss you, Uncle. You are now another one of our ever-growing league of angels, watching over us.

With All My Love,
Your Niece Jeanie

Rest in peace Uncle Tex. I will always cherish the memories of our trip to California, the laughs, the tears, your unusual sense of humor and just being able to spend time with you (even though you wouldn't share your cheetos). You are loved and will be greatly missed.

Rommy and Family, When those we love have left this earth, we still can feel them near. We'll see a picture, hear a song, and it's just like they are here. And when we call upon our faith, when we believe and trust, we know the ones we care about are always close to us. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. God Bless you all.
