Thomas Piazza Obituary

Piazza, Thomas S. III
39 passed from this life into eternal life on Thursday, June 10, 2010. Tom was preceded in death by his daughter Annabelle, and is survived by his wife, Beth, and his beloved children, Luke, Zachary, Scarlett, and Adam, his parents, Thomas and Patricia Piazza and sister, Robin Piazza Hornick and her husband Jimmy. Tom was born on August 26, 1970 in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from the University of Arizona in 1993 with a double major in Finance and Business. He built his career as a financial planner and later moved into the mortgage industry. As the Branch Manager at Geneva Financial in Tucson, Tom loved bringing people together for business, friendship or both. He was an active member of the community involved in the Lions Club, Christian Business Networking Group, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and many others. He was a loving husband, son, brother and phenomenal dad. He was a trusting and generous man who saw the best in everyone. The days won't seem as bright with his passing but our loss is tempered by the knowledge that through Christ, we will one day be with him again. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday morning, June 17, at 10:30 am at Casas Adobes Baptist Church.10801 N La Cholla Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85742. I just found out about Tom. I was so sorry to hear about it. My husband Adam and I shared our honeymoon with Beth and Tom as we were both married on May 1st, 1999. As soon as I saw this year's christmas card without Tom in it, I ran to the computer and saw the sad news. I never knew him as a father, but I remember the week after our weddings well and how much he loved his new bride Beth.

Tom & Pat, I stumbled across your son's obituary . To say how sad I feel for you and his family can not be stated adequately. Reading the comments of those he knew and loved described a man that does not surprise me, after all I grew up with his parents. God bless you and his family. You are in my prayers.
With the warmest of memories.

TP, your infectuous laugh and smile always kept even the worst days light and fun. Our journey starting up CBN and all our crazy marketing schemes will be missed, but most of all, our continued devotion to growing in Christ, and becoming the best husbands, fathers, and men we could be. We really brought out the best in each other and I will miss your accountability, and our Starbucks talks! I love ya and will see you soon, and in the meantime we'll all be down here keeping an eye on Beth and the kids like they were our own! You will be sorely missed and our world is a little bit dimmer without you, but the example you set for your children is a legacy to be proud of! Your friendship is something I will cherish forever...

Beth and Kids;
We know you can be assured that Tom loved you all very much, even though we didn't know you all that well we could see it in his eyes every time you were at the Little League Park.
May God continue to bless you and keep you close to him in this difficult time.

I feel blessed to have known Tom as a good neighbor and friend. He was a good man, wonderful father and husband. He loved his family and his Lord. We will see him again. For now, though, I am praying for comfort, faith, courage and peace for Beth, Luke, Zach, Scarlett, Adam and the rest of Tom's family.

I was fortunate to know Tom in college and even more fortunate to reconnect with him over the years. Each time I saw or heard from Tom his infectious positive personality left me with a big smile. At our meeting last week, the pride and love he held in his heart for his children and family greatly touched me. I know he will continue to touch the lives of many and will always walk beside his family.

Zack, Luke, Scarlett and Adam, Your Dad was one of a kind, his words were always of and for you. He is truley a man we can all asspire to be like. You guys truely were the Jewels that God had given him to make him rich. I never met you, but knowing Tommy you are all something incredibly special. Having lost both of my parents, although late in Life, I cry for you. But God uses ALL things for His Glory. I have never cried so hard in all my life. Tommy was one of the kindest people I have ever met, always looking for ways to help others. He made connections for people that will last a lifetime, as will my memory of his infectious smile. His love for his family was second to none. We are all blessed to have known him, and he is already desperately missed.

I had the pleasure of having had coffee and breakfast with Tom, during each such meeting he talked with such fondness of his wife and children. Whenever he spoke of them (which was often) you could see the joy and love he had for them. His eyes lit up and he would bring out his wallet and show them all off. I have no doubt that Tom will be missed by many. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family.
