Thomas Ridgeway Obituary

Thomas Earl "Doc" Ridgeway was born August 31, 1931, in Phoeix, Arizona. He was the youngest of four children born to Thomas & Mable "Mudsie" Ridgeway. He attended Phoenix Union High School and later received his bachelor degree at the University of Arizona. He went on to graduate from the school of dentistry at the University of Maryland. After receiving his doctoral degree, Tom enlisted in the United States Army where he was commissioned as a first lieutenant. Upon returning to Arizona he opened his dental practice with his brother, Charles, where he practiced dentistry for 30 years. Tom was very fond of the Globe-Miami and Roosevelt area. Tom was an avid outdoor enthusiast. He hunted and fished his entire life throughout the state of Arizona. He was loved much and will be missed by all. Thomas E. "Doc" Ridgeway leaves behind in loving memory two sisters Jean and June; one brother-in-law Leonard; six children Tom, Joe, Darcy, Diane, Bill, and Laurie; and nine grandchildren. Memorial Service was held Saturday, July 12, 2008 in Globe, Arizona.

I read of Tom's passing on line. My sympathy goes to the family. I have known Tom for more than 35 years. Coached Tom Jr. in his little league years, great pitcher. Tom was a gentleman and very well respected both as a dentist and friend. Best of luck. Ed Sweeney
