Vanessa Lezama Obituary
17, of Phoenix passed away January 15, 2016. Ms. Lezama was born July 15, 1998, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Margie Maldonado and Mauricio Lezama. She is survived by her parents Margie Maldonado and Mauricio Lezama; sister, Veronica Lezama; and grandparents, Fernando and Gloria Maldonado, and Jose Lezama and Francisca Vazquez. Vanessa was a true warrior who fought this battle until the very end. Along the way she inspired many people to live their lives to the fullest, to love unconditionally, to live with no regrets and to never take anything or anyone for granted. She would want to be remembered for her joyful spirit and would want others to keep on smiling, and live a life full of joy. A visitation will be on Saturday January 23rd from 10am to 12pm at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 3424 N. 18th Ave. A Mass will be performed at 12pm. Although we never had the pleasure of meeting Vanessa, she was still able to reach out and touch our lives through her father Mauricio tonight when he helped us tow our car all the way to Mesa, from Avondale. Vanessa, your father is a wonderful man who absolutely adores you and loves you with all his heart. We are so blessed to have had the opportunity to meet him and know what the true definition of a family man is. God bless you always, and your family. I am so sorry for this tremendous loss. My heart goes out to your family. God understands when your pain leaves you "sleepless from grief" (Psalms 119:28) but he will lovingly strengthen you.
