Katz, Virginia "Ginnie" Sue
Virginia Sue Katz passed away on Feb. 12, 2014 at her home in Payson, Arizona. She was born in Topeka, Kansas to the late George & Ailsa States. Ginnie grew up in Tucson attending Rincon High and graduated from the University of Arizona with a B. S. in Business Administration. She was a bookkeeper at St. Louis the King Parish in Glendale before starting and co-owning Well Scan, Inc. for 32 years with her husband, Al. In 2010 they sold the business, moving from Chandler to retirement in Payson. She is survived by her husband, Al; sons, Scott and Ken Griswold, his wife Leah; grandchildren, Stephanie and Nathan Griswold; brother, George States; sisters, Kathy Martin and Margaret Wharton, as well as nephews and nieces. Ginnie was deeply loved and will be missed by all. She was an entrepreneur, great cook, skilled quilt maker, volunteer English tutor and master gardener. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers it is requested that donations be made to Rim Country Hospice Foundation, P. O. Box 305 - Payson, AZ 85547.
