Watona Piper Obituary

Piper, Watona "Toni"
Age 85 of Litchfield Park, AZ departed this life Monday August 9th, 2010 with her family by her side. Toni was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma and moved with her family to San Francisco at age 16 where she attended Commerce High School with her sister Nancy and brother Bill. They then settled in Vallejo, California. She married October 16th 1949 to Harry L. Piper Jr. in Reno, Nevada. As a military family they lived and traveled across Europe and the USA. They had children Donna, David, and an adopted son Raymond. The family moved from Vallejo, California to Litchfield Park, Arizona in 1965 where they built their own home, raised a family, and lived for 45 years. Toni had many friends and acquaintances over the years that filled her life with joy. She is preceded in her death by her husband Harry, sister Nancy, brother Bill, and son Raymond, She is survived by two children Donna Bush of Chandler, David Piper of Colorado Springs and five wonderful grandchildren. Toni had many years of happiness with her grandchildren and family. She will truly be missed. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Friday August 20th, 2010 at Resthaven Park Cemetery 6290 W. Northern Ave, Glendale, Arizona. In lieu of flowers contributions in Watona's name may be made to: Hospice of the Valley, 1510 East Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014
