Wayne Allen Obituary

Allen, Wayne Russell
67, of Apache Junction passed away on October 21, 2011. Born in Rockford, Illinois on June 8, 1944 he is preceded in death by his daughter Kari Ann Allen-Smith and parents Robert Andrew Allen and Evelyn Grace Allen (Robbins). Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Sandra A. Allen of Apache Junction, Arizona; brother Donald Allen of Hilton Head, South Carolina; daughter Ginger Allen of Los Angeles, California; son Cristopher Proctor of South Beloit, Illinois; and son Keith Proctor of Monterey, California. Wayne is also survived by his five grandchildren: Mai Harmon, 23; William Allen Hodge, 16; Sterling Wayne Robert Allen, 15; Olivia K Allen-Limberg, 11; and Dalton James Allen-Limberg, 10. Wayne attended West High School and Auburn High School in Rockford Illinois. He served in the Air Force and was a Deputy Sherriff for Winnebago County, Illinois. He retired from Hamilton-Sundstrand in Rockford, Illinois in 2004 where he was a purchasing agent. Wayne spent his life as a loving husband, father, brother, Paw Paw and friend. As those who had the good fortune to have met and known Wayne will attest, to have known Wayne was to love him. There were no strangers to Wayne, only friends he hadn't met yet. Wayne loved riding his Harley. It seems only appropriate that he left this life doing what he loved--doing what he had done since he was old enough to reach the pedals. Wayne had a heart as big as all outdoors. He was always there for friends or family when they needed him. He always had a smile, advice, love and one of his wonderful laughs ready for whoever needed it. Everyone who ever met Wayne will never forget him. He was special man and will be deeply missed.

Do Not Weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!

Ginger and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers and thoughts are with you. God bless you.
