Mr. Wilson was one of the last great men to walk this earth. His passing was, and still is, tragic and untimely. There is no way to convey the sorrow that I feel for his family and friends.
I can remember when I was a young boy, I didn't want to be an astronaut, scientist or a doctor... I wanted to be a true American cowboy, just like Mr. Wilson. Now I strive to become the man that he was. I long to achieve the level of greatness that he earned so effortlessly.
Mr. Wilson will always be in my heart and in my thoughts.

Wayne and I worked together at Siemens Transmission Systems here in Phoenix for about 4 years together, his office was next to mine. He was a caring, compasionate man and we had many things we had worked on together and he always cared about doing things right. He will be missed, my sympathies to the family!

Wayne Wilson was a fine man and good neighbor since his arrival in New River. We will miss seeing him ride past the house and his friendly smile and greeting. He will be missed greatly by many members of our community. Godspeed Wayne.

Wayne was a dear friend from the year 1965. We moved to Arizona in 1983 and I was partly responsible in getting him an interview at GTE. When he transferred to Phoenix it was truly his home. He loved the southwest and being able to ride his horses and be with friends and family. As was stated earlier, he was truly a real cowboy and he will be missed by all. Our sympathy to the family. We know how much his family meant to him. He was truly a HERO.
