I loved the example you set! I grew up loving sports, especially football, and you were a shining beacon that one could be a tough athlete while living your religion and being a happy positive and moral person. Thanks for being one of those beacons!!!

It was a privilege to know "Whizzer". What a friendly person with that great smile. Whizzer always made you feel like you were his "best friend". I enjoyed him coming down to my Power Equipment Store and visiting with me. He would stop in and see me whether or not he was buying anything or getting anything repaired, he would just say "Hi"!! I also enjoyed seeing him at the ASU basketball and football games and introducing him to my grandkids as the great "Whizzer White" who's name is on Sun Devil Stadium, they were impressed with how nice and friendly he was. Thank you White Family for sharing him with us. Our love to your family!! Whizzer will be missed but not forgotten!!

I did not have the pleasure of knowing Mr. White personally but I admired him for his exploits as a Sun Devil. Throughout the years I've heard nothing but good things about the kind of person he was. He will be missed and my prayers go out to him and his family.

When I first moved to Mesa in 61 I quite understood the "Whizzer White" legend until I had the opportunity to meet him. His unpretentious manner and integrity were some of his greatest traits. These traits have continued on in his children. Thank you Wilford and may your family have all the sweet blessings of comfort that the Gospel Jesus Christ brings. This birth that we call death.
