Mr. Cooper gave me my teaching position at DSMS 30 years ago and for that I will be ever grateful. It was inspiring to hear all of the tributes at the funeral. I agree with his Doctor's words as "we are all better people to have known and loved him". Our great loss, heaven's great gain!

Ginnie, Myrna and family - we are so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. We were out of town for his memorial service but you are on our hearts. Whenever I think of him, I remember the first time I heard him sing -- his beautiful tenor voice always touched my heart. Now he can sing right to Jesus. Much love to you all.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow. Bill introduced me to middle school teaching. I stayed with it till I retired. Ginny, and family, please accept my deepest sympathy.

Working at Desert Shadows Middle with Mr. Bill Cooper for eight years was a privilege. He was an understanding man with a sense of humor and genuine warmth for the students who recognized his kindness. You could feel he was a man of faith. My prayers are with you.

Mr. Cooper was an awesome man and principal. I had trouble with some bullies in Junior High and he made sure the issue was taken care of and always had an open door policy for me to come and talk if I needed to. He always had kids hanging out in his office. We loved him dearly. May God bless his family during this time.

Mr Cooper is one of my favorite memories from Desert Shadows Middle School. He always had a smile to show you, even when he wasn't in the mood to smile at you. He always gave me a lot of understanding and compassion and tried to help make my world a little bit better. He intervened when most people wouldn't, and handled himself with great strength, grace and dignity. He was a very good example of what a man is supposed to be. I will miss his smile, his laugh and his warmth. My thoughts and prayers to his loved ones.

What wonderful memories I have of Mr. Cooper. Whenever I think back to the days of Desert Shadows Middle School, Mr. Cooper and Dr. Van come to mind immediately. Mr. Cooper always had a smile on his face and took the time to talk to the students. He really cared about the kids and it showed. He was such a positive influence in my life and my thoughts and prayers are with his family.. May god Bless his family at this time of loss
