Jenn and Ashley I just learned of Skip's passing. I am so sorry. Your father was an amazing guy and I learned so much from him when I was a young man. Peace be with you all.

I miss Skip's calls from the desert. Still waiting for him to appear in my dreamworld and tell me how he has happily reunited with my dear sister June as well as with his parents and mine. Will be thinking of him on his August 17th birthday.

Dear Ashley and Jennifer: I am so sorry for your loss. Losing both of your parents must leave a huge hole in your life. Please accept our sincerest sympathy and know that he is with your Mom too. I am writing this because I have met your Dad and, of course, heard wonderful, loving things about him from my nephew, Tim and his Mom, Dawn. Tim loved your Dad so much and has had a rough time of things lately so I'm glad he has been able to have you both in his life too. Many blessings to you, Wally and Michele Anhut

March 2, 2012 would have been the 10th anniversary of my first meeting with Skip in the sauna (or the "hot box" as he called it).
Over the last 10 years we became sauna buddies, business partners and, even more importantly, friends.
We could not always agree on politics but this made our discussions in the hot box so lively. And we did agree that politics should not impact personal friendships.
I already miss you Skip and your political insights :-((

I have known Skip for 20+ yrs and have always enjoyed his intelligence and some times his tactfulness. when I retired I started gold prospecting and he really had a wealth of information to help me.
I would stop by the house from time to time to talk and I could really see the emptiness in him with Junes passing.
I would often be invited to a great meal, he was a good cook and I would sleep over on the sofa. Many people come and go and make little difference to others , Skip made a difference to me ...Alan Beckstead Gold Bar Mine AZ.

Jennifer, Ashley and Families, Thank you so much for sharing this with me! Skip and your mom were such great friends back in my life in AZ. Skip even stayed in touch with me for years after I moved. I will always remember him fondly. Much love!

I did not know Skip like most of you did but I did know of the wonderful effect that Skip had on my friend Tim Jenkins. Tim always talked fondly of Skip and had a wonderful admiration for him. The positive impact Skip had on Tim's life will last a lifetime.

There is a great void to be filled by William's passing, but I know that the depth of love that you and your family share for each other and for Skip will pull you through this most difficult time. Honor his memory with that love and the wonderful memories you share of him.

We are so sad over the passing of your dad. He & your Mom had been our friends since they lived in CO. Skip must be having a grand reunion with your mom. He was an amazing guy. We leave our love & prayers with you and your families.

As I sit here watching the end of the NFC championship game, I'm really missing Skip. He would have loved this game, played in the slop in San Francisco. Not to mention the heated debate we both would love about the officiating which somehow would be a metaphor for what's wrong with the world. Man, do I miss that, and the great father you were to your own kids and grandpa to mine. Ash, and Jenn, your Dad was one of a kind and I am proud to call him one of the best friends I ever had.

So sorry for your loss Jen and Ashley. Your dad was a "hoot" out at soccer games and the many nights I stayed at your house in High School.

Celebrating a life well lived and loved - and we all thank Skip Haynes for raising such a wonderful daughter, our friend Jenn. Like her father, she is a generous soul and a friend for life. To Jenn and family, we hold you in our hearts and prayers.

Much Love.
