William Sherr Obituary

William Charles Sherr, 80, beloved husband of Miriam Sherr for 51 years and loving brother to Jessie Wallerich and Nettie Kitzes, died on July 15, 2005 in Scottsdale, AZ. Mr. Sherr graduated from the University of Wisconsin and received his Law Degree from Fordham University in 1949. He also served honorably as an Ensign and later promoted to Lieutenant J.G. during WWII, while in the Navy in the Pacific. During the 1950's through the 1980's Mr. Sherr practiced law in NYC-helping hundreds of clients with his brilliant legal mind and his great compassion. He also served as President of the Board of his Sutton Place coop. Retiring in 1981, Mr. Sherr moved to Paradise Valley, AZ, where he was an active member of his community and President of the Board of the Marquessa Condominiums. Other survivors include his five nieces and one nephew who live in New York, Washington D.C., Phoenix and Israel, along with numerous grand nieces and grand nephews.
