Andrew Goitia

Andrew Michael Goitia, age 71, passed away on November 30, 2024 in Flagstaff, Arizona after a long illness and hospitalization. Andy was born in Williams, AZ and was a life long resident of Flagstaff. He graduated from Flagstaff High School and Northern Arizona University.
Andy was predeceased by his parents, David and Mary Goitia, his brother-in-law, Tommy Hernandez and his great niece Sophia Hernandez.
He is survived by his brother Dave (Mary) Goitia and his sister Mary Margaret Hernandez. Andy will always be remembered as being a very kind and thoughtful uncle by his nieces Andrea and Chontelle, his great nieces Samantha and Gabriella, and his nephews David III, Santana and his great nephew David Carson.
Andy was a member of the San Francisco de Asis Catholic Parish in Flagstaff. He was an outdoorsman that loved camping and walking in the desert and forest. Andy was an active member of Flagstaff Archers and especially enjoyed teaching kids in the Special Olympics how to use archery equipment.
Andy was also a member of the Desert Bowhunters which sponsored archery shoots at Ben Avery and the annual Memorial Day tournament at Clint's Well. He was an avid bowhunter that harvested Coues deer, bull elk and javelina. He enjoyed predator hunting with his brother Dave. Andy also hunted with rifle harvesting deer and elk.
A private service will be held in the Spring. Andy will be greatly missed by the entire Goitia and Hernandez families who love him dearly.
