Arthur "Tooter" Flores, 58, passed away September 18, 2018. He was a lifelong resident of Flagstaff and an active member of the community. Tooter was an avid hunter, gardener, and golfer. He found his greatest joy in cooking for his friends and family and had a magical way of bringing those from all walks of life together as he welcomed all into his home and heart. Tooter was an natural artist who had an enviable ability to create something beautiful out of nothing. He walked in Faith, cared for the elderly, and embodied Peace and Love.
Tooter is survived by his wife Sandi Flores; sons Lucas, J'Anthony, and AJ; daughters Samantha and Aimee; grandchildren JT, Seraphina, Vivienne, and Andromeda; brothers Michael (Linda), Albert (Linda), John (Michael); and sisters Frances Anaya (John), Martha Vigil (Daniel), Consuelo Brennan (Barry), Celina Saldana (Nick), and Christina McKerracher (Ralph); and sister-in-law Barbara (McFall) Flores. He was met at the gates of Heaven by his father Melaquias Flores, mother Grace Archuleta Flores, brother Richard Flores, nephews Justin and Rick Flores, great niece Sarah Frame, dear friend Taber Preston, and all those who preceded him in death whom he loved and who loved him.
Services to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday Sept. 22nd at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church with the reciting of the Holy Rosary at 9:30am, followed by Holy Mass at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to your local homeless shelter in his name.
