Edward "Lowell" Stump went home to Jesus on October 31, 2021 at the age of 84.
Lowell was born to Vivian and Dwight Stump on December 22, 1936 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He lived in Estancia//Moriarty until he was 6. His family moved to Roswell in 1942 where he met Deloris "Dee" Stephenson. They married in 1956. They were in love until she was called home in 2003. Lowell is survived by his current wife, Joyce Sutherland whom he married in 2005.
Lowell has 2 children. His favorite son, Ron Stump (wife Christal Stump) and his favorite daughter, Ronda Stump, both of Flagstaff, Arizona. He had three stepchildren. Lisa Harrison (Husband Bob Harrison), Greg Sutherland (who sadly passed a few weeks prior to Lowell's passing) and Joni Sutherland.
Lowell has 6 grandchildren, Justin Stump (wife Ashely), Flagstaff, Andrea Stump (husband Chris Ewing), Peoria, Renee Bernhardt (husband Lane Bernhardt), El Mirage, Tanner Stump (wife Linda Stump), Flagstaff, Arron Bailey, Flagstaff and Chris Bailey, Broken Arrow, OK. He has 10 great Grandchildren, Julian Bernhardt (19), Ashton Abelar (15), Skylah Stump (13), Haizlynn Stump (12), Rhett Stump (1), Conner Dedera (8), Karsyn Stump (5), Kennedy Stump (3), Christian Stump (1) and Emilia Bernhardt (1). He loved his family above all.
He moved his family to Flagstaff in December 1970. He loved Flagstaff.
Lowell was a master craftsman with amazing abilities to build or repair anything he set his mind to. He worked for Spitzer Electric as a mechanic until 1966 When he was hired by Transwestern Pipeline. He and his family were transferred to TW's pumping station in Corona NM in 1967 and then he was promoted to Mechanical supervisor and was transferred to Flagstaff AZ. He was transferred to Pampa Texas in 1978 and then back to Flagstaff in 1980 where he lived the balance of his life. In addition to working on Cars, Lowell was a wood craftsman, a silver smith, a welder and the list goes on and on. Our dad was wise and had a beautiful way of sharing that wisdom with kindness and grace.
The Stump family has always been members of the Nazarene Church starting at First Church in Roswell New Mexico, then Capitan Nazarene in Capitan New Mexico. Membership moved to Flagstaff Church of the Nazarene where Lowell served in many capacities. He was an instrumental part in the construction of our current facility. He loved church and looked forward to Sunday worship until the day he went heaven. He loved worship music and the people. Lowell had an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him.
We will be celebrating our Dad's live on December 4, 2021 at 1 pm at the Church of the Nazarene 3505 E Soliere Avenue, Flagstaff, Arizona. All are welcome.

Condolences to Ron and Ronda and family. Knowing Ron and Ronda, he must have been a fine father and role model. The legacy of his children says it all.
