Inez Alderete Baca, 100, of Pinetop-Lakeside, surrounded by loved ones, went to be with our Lord Saturday October 20, 2012.
She was born April 14, 1912. In Horsesprings, New Mexico to Placido and Fransescita Alderete. She was the oldest of eleven siblings.
On June 12, 1931 she married Juan Baca and together they had thirteen children. Velma (Elias) Garcia, Pinetop, Tony (Diana) Baca, Winslow, Ostillia (Frank) Garcia, Flagstaff, Danny (Ambrosia) Baca, Phoenix, Sally (Henry) Sasser, Pinetop, Sadie (Abel) Carrillo, Flagstaff, Pat (Suzie) Baca, Maricopa, Leroy (Gloria) Baca, Mesa, Frances Salas, Pinetop, Martha (Marteen) Telavera, McNary, Annie (Luis) Flores, Pinetop, Arleen (Javier) Rojas, Pinetop, Billy Baca, Lakeside.
Her husband passed away when he was only forty-five years old. She worked very hard to raise her kids. Her faith was strong and her love was unconditional for her entire family.
Inez adored her family and enjoyed cooking homemade tortillas, tamales, and pudding whenever she had company. She also spent time making quilts for each of her children. She enjoyed her visits from her friend Bessie Misner.
She lived an amazing life and leaves behinds 58 third generation grandkids, 91 fourth generation grandkids, 106 fifth generation grandkids, 1 sixth generation granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, all of her siblings, four daughters, and five grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
We love you and we will never forget you until we meet again.
Services will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pinetop. A viewing will begin at 9AM, the Rosary will be conducted at 9:30 AM and a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 AM. Interment will be immediately following at Lakeside Cemetery. online condolences may be offered at www.showlowmortuary.com.
