Norma Mews Obituary

Norma Annette Mews, 68, of Flagstaff, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008.

Mrs. Mews was born May 31, 1939, in Ponca, Neb., to Norman and Thelma Jung. She will be remembered for being a good listener and having a shoulder to lean on. Her activity in church and love of God created a special place in her hart for Sunday school and Christian day school.

She is survived by her husband, Carl; daughter Nancy Graves, of Albuquerque, N.M.; son Stanley Graves, of Flagstaff; sisters Karen (Joel) Leerssen, of Phoenix, Susan (Norbert) Langbecker, of Flagstaff, Diana (Bob) Witting, of Flagstaff; brother John (Chris) Jung, of Flagstaff; stepdaughters Linda (Doug) Wight, of Napa Valley, Calif., Beth (Jim) Martin, of Flagstaff, Becky (Lee) Miller, of Raleigh, N.C.; stepsons Randy (Debbie) Mews, of Flagstaff, Guy (Melissa) Mews, of Jacksonville, Fla., Tony Mews, of Flagstaff, Scott (Cathy) Mews, of Portland, Ore.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of life will be Wednesday, at 5:30 p.m., at the Peace Lutheran Church, 3430 N. Fourth St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sunday School Fund at Peace Lutheran Church.
