Robert Duane Allen, age 54, passed away on January 31, 2025, in a tragic work accident. Rob was born on July 5, 1970, in Flagstaff, AZ to Byron and Janet Allen. He was a cherished, fun-loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend.
Rob grew up playing ice hockey since age five. He graduated from Flagstaff High School and attended Mankato State University in 1988-1992 to play club hockey. After graduation, he continued to play hockey in adult leagues.
Rob was a huge sports enthusiast who enjoyed following hockey, golf, football and baseball. He was also an avid golfer and loved playing with family and friends whenever given the chance.
Rob's talent in the kitchen made him known for his delicious carnitas and big breakfasts.
His greatest love was his family. He adored his wife of 27 years, Laurie Allen, and his two sons, Ashton and Chase. They loved spending time in the mountains, traveling, and playing games.
Rob worked in the oil rig industry for various companies over the past 13 years. This type of work took him away from his family for weeks at a time. He loved nothing more than returning home so he could spend quality time with his precious family.
Rob is survived by his loving wife, Laurie, and their two sons, Ashton and Chase (Blair); his father, Bryon Allen (Ellen); his sisters, Denise Carmichael (Matt) and Tricia Fischer (Craig); In-laws, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Allen.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, May 24th in Castle Rock, CO.
