It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that Bob Jensen passed away a few weeks ago. Many of you know Him as Bob, or Bobby. He had lived out At Hart Prairie for over 40 years and was always lending a helping hand to those in need or sharing stories to people passing by. I like to think that Dad left this world seated in his chair by the wood stove, watching the alpine glow fade off the peaks. Dad always lived life on his own terms and his death has been no different! Farewell Dad - I know you are missed by many! A memorial will be held sometime later this year when the snow melts. Till then - I hope your memories of Bobby are fond reminders of a life that was truly lived to the fullest and how amazing to have known the one and only Bob Jensen! If you would like to reach out or find out more details regarding the memorial - please contact his youngest daughter, Raenicole /@ (808)212-4802.

We watched fireworks with our kids on Mount Elden one year and spent many hours at the cabin on Hart Prairie. Those are great memories! Never to be forgotten, Bobby Jensen.

It was always a pleasure to see you, Bobby. I´ll be thinking of you when we´re picking mushrooms at the Preserve, or drinking elderberry wine.

There was a powerful authenticity to Bobby. No doubt about that. Spending a summer on your property under the SF peaks remains an engenderingly vibrant memory. The cosmos is poorer for his passing.

Goodby Bobby. I'm very sorry you're gone. It was always a treat to run into you, here, there, anywhere, and talk of many things. You hooked me up with my first river raft, a workhorse of a Campways Shoshoni that I ran down the Colorado and the old San Juan many times. That's a debt I can never repay.
