There was a powerful authenticity to Bobby. No doubt about that. Spending a summer on your property under the SF peaks remains an engenderingly vibrant memory. The cosmos is poorer for his passing.

Goodby Bobby. I'm very sorry you're gone. It was always a treat to run into you, here, there, anywhere, and talk of many things. You hooked me up with my first river raft, a workhorse of a Campways Shoshoni that I ran down the Colorado and the old San Juan many times. That's a debt I can never repay.
