Agnes Fritch Obituary

Agnes McNamara Fritch September 24, 1919 - January 4, 2011 Agnes was born in Atlantic, Iowa, and passed away January 4, 2011, at Glenwood Gardens Skilled Nursing Facility in Bakersfield, CA. Agnes is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Fritch, and her brother, Francis McNamara. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Charles and Judy Fritch of Bakersfield; and son, Gene Fritch and wife, Pat Cara of Troy, Michigan. Agnes is also survived by grandchildren, Patrick Fritch of San Francisco, Andrew Fritch of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Geni Fritch of Utica, Michigan, John Fritch and wife, Karen of Bakersfield, Mark Fritch of Los Angeles, and Jillian Fritch-Stump and husband, Michael Stump of Bakersfield; and great- grandchildren, Trevor and Austin of Michigan, Jessica, John David and Charlie of Bakersfield. Agnes lived in Atlantic, Iowa, until 1966. After her husband's death, she moved to Omaha, Nebraska, and worked as a housemother to 30 girls who were students at an Omaha business college. She then worked as an executive assistant to the Social Service Department at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha. In 1979, Agnes moved to Bakersfield. She resided at Glenwood Gardens from 2002 - 2011. Dr. Fritch and his family wish to extend a special thanks to Glenwood Gardens staff for their help and care that was provided to Agnes. Agnes will be interred at Atlantic Cemetery in Iowa. A family memorial service will be held on Monday, January 10, 2011, at 6:00 p.m., at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Chapel, 2739 Panama Lane. Michael Bell of St. John Lutheran Church presiding.
