Alice Martinez was born May18,1935, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Pedro, and Dolores Martinez. She passed away on June 24, 2022. She was preceded in death by her Husband Frank Sr. and Son Frank Jr. Also, her parents, and siblings, Sophie, LaLa, Geneva, Alex and Fidel.
Alice and her family moved to California when she was a young girl. Alice, and Frank came together, and started their family around 1952. Alice was a Homemaker for many years, and cared for her family in a generous, and loving manner.
Alice was employed later in her life at Kragen Auto Parts store. A job she found so much joy, and pleasure doing. Thanks to her nephew Richard Hernandez who hired her. She also loved to play Bingo, and Slots at the Casinos, but Alice found her greatest joy in spending time with family. Over the years she treated many family members, and close friends with an abundance of hospitality. Which many times included a great meal, and her famous homemade tortillas.
She is survived by her brother Pete Martinez. Daughter Janice Montijo, and her Sons, Rudy, Alex and Jimmy.
Viewing 4 8 pm, and a 6 pm Rosary are scheduled for July 12, 2022 at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306. A funeral service will occur on Wednesday July 13, 10:00 am 11:00 am at Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel. Followed with a graveside service from 11:00 am -11:45 am also at Hillcrest.
