Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 12 pm at Elks Lodge, 1616 30th Street, Bakersfield, CA.
Armand Patrick Tavares was born February 10, 1982, Bakersfield, CA, passed away February 24, 2022 in Harlingen, TX. Patrick lived in McFarland, CA, graduating from MHS in 2000. He was Launch Pad Technician at SpaceX first at Vandenberg AFB, most recently at Boca Chica, TX. His exceptional ability to problem solve all things mechanical put him in a class all by himself, according to his SpaceX crewmates, who loved him as a brother. They also loved his sense of humor.
Patrick married childhood friend Brandy Shae Myrow. They had a special bond throughout their lives. Daughter Paisley, his pride and joy, had Daddy wrapped around her little finger. Son Cody, Daddys little shadow, loved to be near Daddy. Patrick also had a close relationship with step-son, Gaige, who shared many of his interests. Brandy always set up a loving home wherever Patrick's work took him, sharing his interests and work. The family loved having adventures in Daddy's truck, going to the beach, and fishing. Patrick's children share many of his talents and gifts. They also inherited his sweet tooth for candy. Patrick loved Brandy, Paisley, Cody, and Gaige with all of his heart.
Patrick loved his brother, Casey. The two brothers thought highly of each other and shared strong mutual respect. Patrick had a special affection for Grandma Agnes Henderson and Grandpa Wilson Henderson. He loved all his family, friends and coworkers and would help anyone and everyone anytime.
He is survived by his loving wife Brandy Tavares, daughter Paisley, son Cody, step-son Gaige Cole, his brother Casey Tavares, his mother Kathy Henderson, mother-and father-in-law Pam and Mike Entenman, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Armando Tavares, paternal grandparents Armando and Maria Tavares of Massachusetts, and maternal grandparents Wilson and Agnes Henderson of McFarland, CA.
Patrick was a faithful provider, and a faithful and loving husband and father. We love you forever, Patrick, and miss you deeply, and we will rejoice and be overjoyed to see you again in heaven. You were a special man.

I was the California Regional Safety Manager for ELCO /Cameron/Schlumberger when Pat worked there as a Field Service Tech. I always remembered him to be very cooperative, personal and professional in his work and any of his dealings with me. He was very knowledgeable about all the equipment that the company had, and was always very safe using it. I remember specifically how proud he was when he got a job with SpaceX and I knew that he would do a fantastic job for that company!!
I was very sorry to hear about his passing, and I just want to let you know that your dad, husband and brother was certainly a great man in my eyes, and I appreciate how he supported and embraced the company´s health, safety and environmental policies. All of you and your families will be in my family`s prayers and thoughts..
