Diana Harris Obituary
April 4, 1955 February 18, 2022
Diana Paula Harris, was born on April 4, 1955 in McAllen, Texas and went to heaven February 18, 2022 in Bakersfield, California. She was a beloved wife of 36 years, a mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her son David Maxwell Harris and parents Venus and Jose Martinez.
Diana graduated from East Bakersfield High School in 1973. She had a career at Getty Oil/Texaco and retired after 19 years to stay home with her youngest son and help run her husband's oil laboratory business.
Diana was the star around which her family revolved. She loved her family unconditionally and was always there to help in times of need. Her loss is immeasurable. She loved traveling with her husband and visited Europe several times. She loved shopping but was not a pretentious woman. She was funny, very social and loved a good happy hour! She was loved by her family and many friends who were a great source of comfort to her and her family. She was surrounded by so much love and care in her last months on this earth.
Diana is survived by her husband Stephen Harris, daughters Mikki Barraza and Lisa Romero, son Zachary Harris, grandsons Teague, Zeric, Blaise, Ace and Royce, sisters Bertha Taggart, Juanita Vaughn, and Elizabeth Moreno, brothers Alfred, Joe, Mauro and Bobby Martinez, as well as many special nieces, nephews and cousins.
On March 10, 2022 there will be a rosary at 6:00 pm with a memorial tribute to follow at Greenlawn SW. A church service will be held on March 11, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton church in Bakersfield at 10:00 am followed by graveside services at Greenlawn SW.
