Don was a native of Albany, N.Y., and relocated to Bakersfield after a 4 year stint in the U.S. Navy. Don was a 5 year Postal service employee; 30 year employee of K.C. Probation Department; a graduate of Fresno State University, and a 30 year member of B.P.O.E. # 266.
Don was a competitive sportsman; enthusiastic golfer; avid poker player, T.V.junky and loyal dog lover.
Don leaves 4 children, 6 step-children, 22 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
Don died suddenly but peacefully at home with his wife and dog by his side .
Don always said "They always have a Cinco De Mayo parade on my birthday " The parade goes on!! He was loved and will be missed.

Dad, you were such an amazing man. Such honor and truth within you...you were kind, understanding, and everything good......I love you with every fiber of who I am....thank you dad, for being the man you were teaching me to hkmor our fellow man in all things......you were one of a kind!!
