Earle Jorgensen Obituary

Earle M. Jorgensen Jr. December 8, 1935 - June 22, 2011 Earle had a grin that could light up a room. Everyone that had the honor to know him, whether for a moment or a lifetime, immediately felt the warmth of his friendship kindness and respect. He was a strong man, always there with a helping hand for those who needed it and always listened patiently. He was never quick to judge and thought things through before doing anything. He was loyal and could always be counted on. Earle was an avid car collector who enjoyed finding and restoring each car and had a special cap that went with each one. He loved creating and sharing the beauty of his Brooklake Ranch, finding pleasure in watching others enjoy what he created. This quote epitomizes how our father lived: "There is no limit to what a man can do or where a man can go if he doesn't mind who gets the credit." Dad graduated from Flintridge and Claremont Men's College. He worked in the family's business, "Jorgensen Steel" later leaving for a love of outdoors and machinery. He enjoyed many years of farming in Cuyama. He also owned an equipment company spending memorable years in Delano. Never was he far from his love of machinery and farming which continued into retirement at his Brooklake Ranch. Earle's parents, sisters and brother welcomed him home. Earle is survived by his three children, Jeannie and wife, Denni, Charlie, Todd and Todd's wife Lisa. Earle had eight beautiful grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Additionally he is survived by his wife, Anna Mae and her three children, Michelle and Chris, Sheri and Steve, Craig and their children. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Earle M. Jorgensen scholarship of Kids First Foundation, P.O. Box 2369, Mariposa, CA 95338. Friends and family will cherish his memory and will miss him dearly. Celebration of life will be held Saturday July 2, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at 2763 E. Westfall Rd. Mariposa, CA. 95338. www.bakersfield.com/obits
