Doc Ellott was a very kind man. I remember growing up in Porterville. I loved horses and we (mom and me)did not have much money. He was always cutting cost's or sometimes not even charging us, and several times just stopped by to make sure all the horses were all right just because he was in the area. He taught me how to give shots, care for wounds, cuss when a horse did not act right, etc. He as well as Lottie are loved and greatly respected by many many people in the Porterville area.
