George Carpenter Obituary
1932 2023
George Edward Carpenter went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus on September 21, 2023.
He lived his life with deep gospel conviction, proclaiming the Good News of Christ wherever he went and sharing his own testimony of grace to all who would listen.
He loved his beautiful wife, Mildred for 64 years, and is remembered by his daughter and son-in-law, Rebekah and Jim Lopez; his daughter and son-in-law, Caroline and Alex Kalugin; his beloved grandchildren, Emily and James (wife Aimee) Lopez and Alexis and Sophia Kalugin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Violet Carpenter, sisters Maryiva Carpenter and Ann Douthitt, and brother Tom Carpenter, Jr.
He is survived by his brothers John and Jim Carpenter and sister Carol Carpenter and many nephews and nieces.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Bakersfield National Cemetery on October 4, 2023 at 12:30pm.

George has one of the best! He did live his life for Jesus! He went to school with my parents. They remained friends until the very end. George went to Ventura multiple times to visit Dad and Mom after Dad's health began to decline. Those visits meant the world to all of us! While I know those who are left behind have an empty place in their hearts, I believe that George is happy to be in Heaven with Midge. And that the Granger trio of George Carpenter, Wayne Guess, and Jim Morris are spending time together! Much love to the family. Kathy Guess
