Interment will follow at Union Cemetery. Grace passed peacefully to the Lord on October 14, 2008 with her family at her side. Grace was born in Bakersfield, California on August 23, 1913 to Gracian and Clara (Eyherabide) Ansolabehere. Her parents immigrated from the Basque country (France) at the turn of the century. They farmed in north Bakersfield where Grace was born on the ranch. Grace attended Norris School and Kern County Union High School. She was a life long resident of Bakersfield. Grace married the love of her life Fernando A. Fabbri on October 23, 1937. Together they enjoyed many years of traveling and especially enjoyed camping. Grace was a bookkeeper for City Mercantile Co. for many years. She continued bookkeeping for a number of years after retirement for her Grandson Jack at his business. She was a master seamstress and immensely enjoyed her time sewing for her friends and family. Grace was also an expert cook in the Basque tradition. She was very proud of her Basque heritage. She was also a member of the Bo-Peeps. In her later years Grace spent many happy hours playing bingo and cards and winning a few dimes with her dear friends at her assisted living home. Grace was preceded in death by her parents Gracian Ansolabehere in 1915, mother Clara Capdevielle, stepfather Louis Capdevielle, her Beloved Husband of 58 years Fernando, sister Mary Jourdan, brother John "Six" Ansolabehere and Great Granddaughter Gracianna Register. She leaves to cherish her memory her four sons Fred & Karol of Arcadia, CA, Frank & Jackie of Pismo Beach, CA, Richard and Melisa of Homburg, Germany, Stephen & Sharon of Bakersfield. Grandchildren Stacey & (Jeff) Barnes, Denise Fabbri, Jack & (Becky) Fabbri, Andrea & (Eric) Burkhart, Dominique Fabbri, Danielle & (Frank) Klein, Annette Fabbri, Petra Oster, Melissa Bonner, Stephanie & (Mitchell) Register, Jacob Fabbri, 17 Great Grandchildren and nephew Marin Jourdan. The family would like to extend their gratitude and warmest thanks to the entire staff of Hallmark Assisted Living, Dr. Luis Cousin and Hoffmann Hospice. Frank & Jackie & Family: Your Mom, Grace to me, was always a sweet & kind, loving lady. I always spoke with her at Hallmark when I went to see my Mom. She always seemed to remember us. It was our honor to be included in her life. I know she is in heaven with Nono & my mother now. We love you all-Darlene & Gary
