Services: Thurs., Dec. 11, 2 p.m.

Chapel services will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2003, at 2:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel. A visitation will also be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2003, 4-8 p.m.

Grover Cleveland Ray was born on March 13, 1918, in Crescent, Oklahoma, and went to be with the Lord on December 8, 2003, in Bakersfield, CA. Grover was a welder by trade.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Verna D. Ray. He is survived by his loving wife, Fay Ray; son, John Ray and wife, Susan; daughters, Ginny Alspaw and husband, Darrel, Joy Campbell and husband, Jimmy; six grandchildren, Adam Ray, Tammy Leeper and husband, Mark, Becky McAlister and husband, Mark, Jeff Campbell and wife, Brenda, Jennifer Muro and husband, Andy and Randy Alspaw; 11 great-grandchildren, Sarah and Melissa Leeper, Brittney and Dustin McAlister, Jeffery and Taylor Campbell, Jourdan and Riley Muro and Alyssa, Allison and Ashlyn Alspaw; a dear sister-in-law, Susie Ray and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

He was loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. Many thanks to the Memory Care Staff at Oakdale Heights and Hoffmann Hospice.
