Humberto Mendoza Sigala April 25, 1947 - May 31, 2006 Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2006, at 6:00 p.m., St. John's Church for Humberto Mendoza Sigala, age 59, of Wasco, who passed away on May 31, 2006, at his residence in Wasco. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 8, at St. John's Church from 4-8 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be on Friday, June 9, 2006, at 10:00 a.m., at St. John's Church with Fr. John Fluetsch officiating. Interment will follow at Wasco Memorial Park. Humberto was born April 25, 1947, in El Paso, Texas, the son of Belen and Isabel Sigala. He was raised in Texas, coming to Huron, CA in 1959. He served as a PFC in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969. In 1972 he moved to Wasco. He married Maria Avina on March 1, 1972 in Bakrsfield. Humberto was employed as a State of California Highway Landscaper for 6 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and traveling. Humberto is survived by his wife, Maria of Wasco; sons, Michael Sigala of Wasco and Humberto Sigala Jr. of Wasco; daughters, Mariana Gonzalez of Shafter, and Rosanna Sigala of Wasco; brother, Octaviano Sigala of Avenal; sisters, Rosa Hernandez of Wasco, Emily Dominguez of Bakersfield, Lupe Sigala of Wasco, Belen Garcia of Reedley and Lori Garcia of Wasco.
