Isaac Gutierrez Obituary

Isaac Gutierrez Jr. 1944 - 2008 It's time to say good-bye to my daddy, who was a brilliant, loving man, who, like us all, made mistakes. He suffered from his choices, but always stayed strong and positive. My daddy accepted Jesus Christ in his heart as his Lord and Saviour and is forgiven. Now he is free and able to spread his wings and fly. I know he will always live on in my heart and through all his loved ones. What God brings together, no one can separate. The people who knew my daddy know he was a one of a kind daredevil that would do anything to protect someone in need. My dad was a firefighter for 17 years of his life and will always be a proud Marine in his heart. My dad loved his country as well as Bakersfield, and always stayed up with the latest laws, politics and football (a 49er fan). God knows his heart. We've lost our daddy, brother, grandpa and soulmate, but gained a guardian angel we can really count on. Free at last! Fly! I love you Daddy. Isaac Jr. is survived by his son, Isaac Joseph; daughters, Angela Quirina, Gail Monique; also, four grandchildren who he loved and adored with all his heart, Isaac IV, Ramon Jr., Isaac (Kung Fu Fighter), and little Sarah; his lifetime soulmate, Virginia; also, his siblings, brothers, Joel, Ruben, Peter, Alfred; sisters, Annie, Ester, Raquel; and many, many nieces and nephews. Isaac Jr. was called home to Heaven to be reunited with his mom and dad, and his big sis Licha. Now they're all united in God's great glory. Viewing will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2008 from 5:00-7:00 p.m., with a funeral service following at 7:00 p.m., at Alma Funeral Home, 2130 E. California Ave., Bakersfield, CA 93307. Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 17, at 11:00 a.m., at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park, 2739 Panama Lane, Bakersfield, CA 93313.

My uncle Jr. was a wonderfully kind man. My memories of him are all good and even though he could seem intimidating, he was always kind and loving to all of us children. My brothers enjoyed playing with him and he brought us wonderfuly memories of him. I know that my Lord reached out in love to take him home. My prayers are with you Angela and Joseph, that the Lord bless you with His comfort, everlasting peace and love, and that you may know Jesus in your heart always. With all of my love.
