The Salcido Family will always hold a very special place in my heart! My sincerest prayers and thoughts are with the entire family. Isaac Salcido was a very important Mentor during my young life, as well as in the life of my autistic brother Luke. I met Coach Isaac when I was running Track and Field for Lincoln Middle School. At that time, he and his family were running with the local rec program. It was my first experience with the rec programs and once the Salcido children and I began training together at school, I learned early how much admiration and love I had for this family. Coach Isaac was like a God in my eyes! He was fit, he loved the kids, he believed in us, and pushed us in ways were we wanted to be better! The Salcido family loved and showed my brother so much love I could never repay for, they always made him feel seen, and supported his work ethic & dedication, my brother was complete! Isaac was our pace car, I couldn´t believe at that time that a Dad could be that Fit, lol! I loved how they carried themselves as a family, they were always pushing one another to be better and better, and showed up to train hard day after day! These were some of the most impactful days of my life as I always reflect on influencers in my lifetime. I am so grateful I was able to tell Isaac how much he meant to me in this life. How grateful I was for his leadership in a young girl life when she was finding and building her confidence! !!. I´ll never forget you and I will always continue give back the blessing you gave me! I´ll miss you Coach Isaac! See you again! My Parents send their love and cherish our times together!

My condolences to Isaac's family. Isaac and I were teammates at B.C. then roommates at Sac State for a semester. We were distance runners. Isaac was tenacious, He worked in the fields and eventually became teacher who loved to coach. Our last conversation he spoke enthusiastically about softball and being an official. D-1 no less. Greater than that was his family. That was years ago. I will never forget Isaac as he left a lasting impression. He lived life deliberately, I can still hear him say to another roommate "come on boy, don't talk about it, DO IT!"
Rest in peace my friend you Did It!
