Jeffrey Joaquin Foy
Surrounded by his family, Jeffrey Joaquin Foy or to some just JJ, went to heaven to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, July 18 in Bakersfield, Ca. He leaves behind his wife of 22 years, Diana Foy, his son Jessey Esposito, daughter-in-law Katina, granddaughter Giorgina, his step-daughter Jennifer Blesener, youngest son Cole Joaquin Foy, sister Jacqueline Carrete and all his nephews and nieces. He was preceeded in death by his father John Joaquin Foy and Mother Jeanette Foy.
Jeff went to BHS and was a proud driller football player. In his early years Jeff was a union plumber for the local 460. He then was hired by SC Anderson as a project manager, which led to his career in building schools, first for Delano and most recently Panama Buena Vista Unified School District. Jeff had a special love for people. His gift was making you feel like an old friend as soon as you met him. He was a good listener and great story teller. Along with that gift he brought smiles and laughs to CBCC where he received treatment for over 3 years. Jeff was extremely touched by his all his nurses, doctors, and friends that were so amazing during his cancer journey. He was also brought to tears over the outpouring of love he received from employers, old and new, coworkers, friends, neighbors, and family. Jeff loved his family with all his heart. His greatest joy and legacy however, was his love for God. We will miss you JJ.
A funeral mass will be held July 25, at 10:30 AM at St Francis Catholic Church. Reception immediately following in the hall. Private Graveside.

I can't believe you left us so soon. Seems like just recently my wife Kelly (Maxwell) and I were your fellow students at BHS.
You were a great friend and I had such great memories from high school.
I remember pulling an all nighter in my parents garage trying to install a set of headers on your el Camino only to have you tell me later that you had bought them from some guy and didnt even know they would fit. Or the time we were pouring a cement pad in your parents backyard and using some of the beer your mom gave us in the mix as it was drying too fast.
Plus many other adventures that are better left to history.
Jeff, you were always bigger than life and will be sorely missed. Godspeed my friend and our prayers are with you and your family.

My name is Cristina Ortiz. I didn't know Jeff but I was close to his wife Diana Foy. All I heard were good things. A wonderful husband of 22 years and a great father. A well known and respected citizen in our community. May God bring the family comfort in these times of grief.
