John's father was John Thomas McLeod born in 1889 in the Maughold Parrish of the Isle of Man, his birth record is right above my grandmother's. Twenty-one years later those two went to Liverpool and boarded the ship, Campania, to New York and the records of Ellis Island show them with the destination of Isabella, California. They were two of dozens of Manx people who made that journey to California. I only recently discovered this link to the McLeod's and would like to find out more. I was born in Bakersfield, so was my father, and many of my family are buried in Greenlawn on the hill.

Dearest Betty and all the Martinez family. My deepest condolences to all of you. I always will remember my mom and dad and Betty and Buddy dancing and having a good time. Those were the good days. Now Buddy can have a dance with my Mom. Be well my friends.
