John L. "Jack" Stenhouse

1918 - 2009

John "Jack" L. Stenhouse 1918 - 2009 John was born in Henrietta, OK on July, 1918 and passed away peacefully on August 28, 2009, at his home in Arvin, CA. After having served his country in WWII, he established a successful trucking company that prospered until his retirement in 1983. He was active in the VFW, a member of DAV, and volunteered for many activities in the Arvin area. John is preceded in death by his loving wife, Theresa, and son, Gary. He leaves behind to mourn his passing, his son, John L. Stenhouse, Jr. (Pegge) of Bakersfield; grandchildren, Ryan Scot Stenhouse (Mercedes) of Santa Maria and Carie Stenhouse of Visalia; great-grandchildren, Ethan Scot, Kaitlin Marie Stenhouse and Nyla Marie Stenhouse-Coyt; brother, Ray Stenhouse of San Jose; sisters, Evaloe Blair of Pinole, CA, Abbie Haynes of Oklahoma City, OK, Margaret Lemke of Auburn, CA, Inez Meadows of Walnut Creek, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Thank you to Around The Clock Companion Care, Coordinating Care Management (Cassandra Ortiz) and Optimal Hospice for providing care and compassion for Jack. A special thank you to Fred and Chennea Vietti for all their help these past few months. Military Graveside Services, officiated by Rev.
