Joyce Jacobs Obituary
March 19, 1955 - December 1, 2021
Joyce Ann Jacobs left this world to join her parents in heaven on December 1, 2021 at the age of 66. She was a loving mother, wife, sister and friend, but most memorably a woman whose laugh was as beautiful as her heart. The love she had for her family ran deep, and her giving heart knew no limitations.
Joyce was born in Michigan but lived most of her life in Bakersfield where she was a hairstylist for 39 years. She loved her clients and coworkers and without a doubt they loved her as well. To Joyce, many of them were like family, and she cherished their relationships.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Adrian and Maxine Clem. She is survived by the love of her life Rick Jacobs, her two children Sandy Guy (Michael) and Tony Philips (Kim), her 2 sisters Jane Springman and Janet Antongiovanni, 4 bonus children and 19 grandchildren. She also had 2 beloved fur babies.
The way Joyce touched each of our hearts will never be forgotten. She was truly a loving yet forgiving soul who will forever be missed. She left a lasting and impactful imprint on everyone who knew her. If you were one of those people, please join us for a service on January 6th, 2022 at 11:00AM as we celebrate her life at Kern Christian Center (4701 Gosford Road, Bakersfield). Reception to follow on site.

I've known Joyce for about 20 years and got the privelage of working with her for the past 6 years. Her heart never knew no end, so loving, so kind. As soon as my husband Keith and I would walk in the shop she would be right there saying " ok where's my hug?'' No matter how dirty Keith was from working on cars she didn't care, there was no way she wasn't going to get her hug. When Keith and I got married I was having trouble finding a venue and was really upset everything kept falling through so one day when I was at the shop telling my mother in law Belinda about it Joyce walked up and said " you know I've had weddings in my backyard right?'' Then fallowed with so you and Keith are going to get married in my backyard and I'm not taking no for an answer." THat ment SO SO SO much to Keith and I and couldn't have asked for a more beautiful and special wedding. It ment so much to us. We miss you so much Joyce, the shop isn't the same without you. We miss your hugs so much. Until we see you again Love You!!!

My husband Tim knew her for many many years and when we got together, she was one of the first people he introduced me to. She was like the sun, sweet, funny, and an amazing beautician.. I will miss her forever but am happy she is with Tim in heaven, waiting for me..

So sorry for the loss of Joyce, she did my Mom's hair and during one trip to the salon, she did a mini makeover on my daughter who was 3 or 4 at the time. She loved it and we have photos that she still looks back at. Joyce was a kind and generous person and will be missed.
