Juanita J. Urrea, 96, was born December 25, 1921 in Bakersfield, California to Frank and Frances Suniga. She passed away April 13, 2018, surrounded by her family. Juanita worked in the Health Care industry for 22 years. She was a member of the Young Ladies Institute (YLI) for over 30 years and was also a charter member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, having just received her 25 year pin which was presented to her while she was in the hospital. She was also a faithful member of St. Francis Church.
Juanita is predeceased by her parents, husband Angel, her daughter Margaret and son in law Melvin Chow, and her sister, Ann Fleming. She is survived by her son, Frank and wife Rosalinda Lomas; grandsons, Damon Chow and wife Joelle, Gregg Lomas and wife Maria, and Fred Lomas; granddaughter, Denise and husband David Chenault; great grandchildren, Myla Chow, Andrew Chow, Elan Wilson and husband Julian, Kolie and husband Ty Swavely, great-great grandchildren Ocean, Lucy, and Indio Wilson and by her brothers, Joe, Richard, and Fred Suniga. Our family would also like to thank her dear friend, Delores, whose friendship and care was very much appreciated. Our beloved Nana lived a full life and her love and presence will be missed greatly.
Rosary will be recited Friday, April 20, 2018, at 8:30 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 900 H. St., Bakersfield.

Frank,Rosalinda and family, So sorry to hear of Juanita passing on. Our condolences to you and yours. I know our parents were real good friends in the day and they have their fond memories at the Eagles.

My name is Josie Torres Hamada and I'm the daughter of John & Irene Soria.
My parents were very good friends of Juanita.My parents have both passed but Mom in her last conversations talked about old times & of course we my brother Joe, sister Lupe all remember the good times they had back in the day.
My prayers go to the family & friends.

Juanita was an F.O.E.Auxiliary sister for over 25 years. She will be missed. I will always remember her favorite saying, "Aw, que cute" May she rest in peace.
