JULIAN "JULES" ACOSTA
September 22, 1983 - May 10, 2021
Julian "Jules" Acosta, 37, passed away peacefully surrounded by his mom and spouse on Monday May 10, 2021 in his hometown of Bakersfield, California.
Julian was born in Bakersfield, California on September 22, 1983, the only son to Gerardo and Silvia. He attended North High School, graduating in the class of 2001. Julian's career at Kern Medical began as a Medical Support Tech in 2007. Through his tenure at Kern Medical, Julian displayed a strong commitment to team, dedication to patients and an aptitude for leadership. After multiple promotions, Julian eventually accepted the role of Revenue Cycle Manager in 2016 and was an integral component of Kern Medical's Cerner EHR conversion in 2018-2019.
Childhood friends, Julian went on to marry the love of his life, Ignacio, in 2017. Julian and Ignacio shared a home with their three adopted nephews and beloved Dobermans, Reggie and Sadie. Julian was known to rave about his husband's cooking and was always sure to share leftovers with co-workers. Julian loved to spend time with his friends and family, and especially looked forward to large family gatherings at his home. Julian always had a smile on his face, would help anyone in need and gave the best advice. Julian touched so many lives; everyone who crossed his path was impacted by his genuine kindness, gregarious laughter and if extra lucky may have even experienced one of his patented silly dances.
Julian is survived by his parents; Gerardo and Silvia. Husband Ignacio, Sisters; Diana, Veronica, Claudia, and Christina. In-laws, Alejandro, Gabe and Rachel. Nephews; Jose, Vince, Victor, Hector, Joseph, Ricardo, David, Daniel, Christian, Nicholas, and Michael. Nieces; Viviana, Sabrina, Sofia and Great Nephew Josiah. Numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, as well as dear friends he collected like family along the way. Jules's unforgettable spirit will be missed terribly.
