June Rosellini Obituary

June Cannon Rosellini 1927 - 2013 June Cannon Rosellini passed away at age 85 on Thursday, February 20, 2013 in Bakersfield, California. She was born in 1927 in Butte, Montana to Walter ("Monk") and Nora ("Nora") Cannon. She married Gene Rosellini in 1949. They moved to China Lake/Ridgecrest in 1964, where she worked on the base as a systems analyst in the Supply Department, retiring as a branch head. Upon her retirement, she and Dad moved to Bakersfield in 1987. They have 4 children: Bonni and Doug Mallory and their children James and Kimberly of Fort Bragg, California; Kathy Rosellini, Mike and Patty Rosellini of Bakersfield, and Mary Rosellini of Fresno. Mom is survived by her sister, Doris Boyle, of Butte, Montana, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by our Dad in 2003, her parents, and sisters- and brothers-in-law. Mom was active with the Women's Guild of Our Lady of Perpetual Help parish and the Golden Aires Senior Choir for a number of years. She enjoyed a good game of bridge (or any card game, for that matter), working a crossword puzzle, singing, and reading. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. William Baker for his many years of compassionate care of our Mom, as well as the staffs at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital (especially Ike), the Rehab Center of Bakersfield, and The Summit. You are all a credit to your profession. She was the best Mom, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend anyone could ever hope for. Her positive and cheerful disposition will be missed by so many! While we mourn the loss of our precious Irish rose, we are comforted in the knowledge that she is with Dad now. Rest peacefully, Mom. We love you. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help church on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 12:00 noon. Private inurnment at Green Lawn will take place. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help parish. www.bakersfield.com/obits

June always add a positive attitude and good things to say. She was supportive and always gave me her full attention whenever we talked. I can only assume she was the same with others. I will miss her dearly. My heart goes out to my cousins. Your mom had a great heart. I will see her face smiling and about to ask a question at the same time whenever I think of her. She was one of those rare people who not only was kind to people but also seemed to truly liked most people - and she made you feel that way.

May God continue to look after you as he did in life Aunt June.

Love, Nonie Boyle

Kathy, Mike, Mary and Bonnie, We neighbor kids will always remember the great fun we had, as kids and adults, being around June, who always had a laugh, a story, and some great eats. She always included all of us in the fun. She was the "Beaver Cleever" Mom we will all miss but were so lucky to know!

Kathy - The loss of a wonderful lady, your mom June, is a great loss to many who came to know her and your family. Sweet, caring, a friend. I shall miss her cards on the birthday we shared. June has her wings now and will forever be watching over all who knew and loved her.
