Kenny was born and raised in Bakersfield, CA. He passed away peacefully at home, while fighting cancer and kicking its butt a few times.
Kenny Bob was the youngest of three. He graduated in 1972 from South High, where he wrestled and played football. There is where he met Darla Davis, his freshman year, and they married in June of 1977. Kenny joined the Coast Guard Reserve right out of high school. For 40 years, Kenny worked in the oil and gas industry. He started as a rough neck, then a tanker driver and worked his way up to pipeline supervisor for Crestwood West Coast.
During their 38 years of marriage, Kenny and Darla had two beautiful daughters, Morgan and Moriah who kept them busy on the soccer field and at swim meets. As a family they enjoyed camping, hosting BBQ's, and pool parties as well as any opportunity to get people together for a good time. They loved to travel and enjoyed many cruises and trips together to Alaska, Mexico, and camping at the beach and mountains. They loved being grandparents and spending time with their eight grandchildren (camping, holidays and watching them play sports). In his free time, Kenny enjoyed golfing, watching NASCAR, NHRA, and cheering on the St. Louis Rams.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Colleen Maltby, and his youngest daughter Moriah Enos. He is survived by his best friend and wife Darla, daughter and son-in-law Morgan and Justin Cobbs, son-in-law Russell Enos, grandchildren Britany, Clayton and Ethan Cobbs; Camrynn, Caleb, Carter, Carson, and Callie Enos, brother Dennis Maltby (Linda), sister Donna Trout (Danny), brothers-in-law Rick Davis (Sharon), Mike Davis (Linda) and Jimmy Davis (Tammy), numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends who will miss him dearly.
Our family would like to thank Dr. Ravi Patel and the awesome staff at CBCC, also, the wonderful people at Hoffman Hospice. Also, huge thank you to our Crestwood West Coast Family and our Bill L. Williams Elementary Family for all of their love, support and generosity.
A celebration of Kenny's life will be held February 20th, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Coconut Joes Banquet Hall on Easton Drive.
