Kenneth Cage Porter
May 29, 1933 - June 18, 2018
Kenneth C. Porter was born May 29, 1933 in Carthage, Tennessee and passed away peacefully on June 18, 2018 at his home with his family by his side.
Kenneth served in the US Navy aboard the USS Philippine Sea aircraft carrier from 1951-1954 as an aviation machinist mate. He married the love of his life, Ruby Jean Porter on August 9, 1952. She preceded him in death on April 5, 2018. He worked for Arco Oil & Gas his entire career. He worked in Taft CA, Kenai AK, and Walsenburg, CO. He also helped bring a gas plant online in Turkey.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Ritchie Porter; brothers, Tom Jr and Jim Porter, and his sister, Elizabeth.
He is survived by his sons, Ken and wife Denise, Steven and wife Elizabeth; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.
A private family Memorial will be held at a later date.
